My lovely friends list...

I have a question. I have a song that I downloaded from itunes that I would really like to put onto my MP3 player. But as the name suggests, it plays MP3's not M4P. I have tried everything to convert it, but it's "protected". I understand that there is a way around this, but I am at a loss. Can any one help me? I can only find this song on iTunes - unless I want to buy the whole damn cd- which I really cannot afford at the moment.

I fail at converting stuff, that's not my strength, but what is the song? Maybe I have it, or know someone who does and can send you the mp3.
The Band - Long Black Veil. I know it's a long shot... but I figured there's no harm asking.
I don't know that song, but I might know someone who does. I won't be able to talk to them until tomorrow, but I'll do my best. As soon as I know something (either way), I'll let you know. ♥
If you find this song- I will love you forever. The song is considered a early 20th traditional song. Johnny Cash sang it, The Band, The Proclaimers, Dave Matthews. I found the other versions in mp3 no problem, But the Band eluded me till I checked iTunes. My last resort specifcally because of the formatting they use.
Try QTFairUse (download here). It's very easy to use and hasn't failed me yet. Then you can easily convert the file to mp3 using whatever software you usually do.
Oh, and here's the song (I think? Is it the right one?) in mp3 format: The Band - Long Black Veil.
OMG!! * loves on you* Yay!!. You've made me so very happy. I've also downloaded that QTFairUse for the future. Thank you so very much. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

BTW- Thank you.
Gee, I think you forgot to thank me.

(You're very welcome).
